What is EDMC Education Foundation?
EDMC Education Foundation is a non-profit tax-exempt foundation
under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The Foundation is
supported by contributions from multiple sources, and provides scholarships to students who attend Education Management Corporation (EDMC)
owned schools. To further its charitable mission, the Foundation seeks donations from foundations, companies, faculty, staff, friends, and other
diverse sources in order to retain the level of scholarships distributed annually to students attending EDMC owned schools.
Each school has a Scholarship Committee that reviews student applications and submits recommendations. The Foundations Scholarship
Committee then reviews the recommendations and awards scholarships on an objective and nondiscriminatory basis. No family members of EDMC
employees may qualify for scholarships.
The Art Institutes Scholarship Fund
The Art Institutes Scholarship Fund serves more than 40 Art
Institutes in major cities across North America. As new Art Institute schools join the
EDMC system, the Fund continues to grow, with almost every school actively involved in scholarship fundraising events, publicity, and donor
relations.
Many business leaders sponsor scholarships and fund-raising events and competitions, and continue to express enthusiasm about the quality
of Art Institute student work. Since its founding in 2000, EDMC Education Foundation has raised money for The Art Institutes Scholarship Fund to
help deserving students in financial need.
