Christian Choi, 2000 California Design College Graduate
Before Christian Choi graduated from high school, he researched several fashion design colleges and decided on California Design College. Christian chose California Design College for its Computer-Aided Design (CAD) courses. He liked the small classes, the emphasis on hands-on learning and the affordability.
Fourteen months after enrolling in California Design College, Christian received an Applied Associate of Science degree in Advanced Fashion Design. He started working as a Lectra Marker/Grader with Micro Pattern. Micro Pattern is a marking/grading service for a number of manufacturers. He gained valuable experience but soon felt he needed a bigger career challenge and contacted California Design College’s Career Services Department. California Design College’s Career Services Department assisted him in obtaining his position as a Lectra Pattern Maker for Score, American Soccer Company, a worldwide manufacturer of soccer accessories.
Christian offered the following advice to California Design College students, “Do not get discouraged. Be patient and put in the effort that's required.”
