The Art Institute of Seattle Names New Dean of Academic Affairs

SEATTLE, WA – October 16, 2009 - The Art Institute of Seattle is proud to announce the appointment of Dr. Joan Bouillon to the position of Dean of Academic Affairs.
Most recently the Dean of Academic Affairs for The Art Institute of California – Sacramento, Dr. Bouillon has also served as the Vice President of Academics and Interim President of the California Culinary Academy, and was a Divisional Vice President of Academic Affairs for the Career Education Company. Dr. Bouillon has also served as the Director of the Westwood College of Technology, and the Director of Technical Programs for DeVry University in Denver, CO.
Additionally, Dr. Bouillon is the founder and former manager of “Cook with the Chefs,” a cooking school for non-professionals in the Denver area.
Dr. Bouillon is the author of several textbooks, including Introduction to Chemistry (Saunders College Publishing, 1992), and Chem A (Burgess Publishing, 1981).
Dr. Bouillon received her Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from the University of California Los Angeles, and her Master of Science in Chemistry, also from UCLA.
