Job Title: Interactive Art Director
2010 Graduate, Bachelor of Fine Arts in Web Design & Interactive Media, The Art Institute of Tampa
As an interactive art director at Roger West Creative and Code, Allison Grayce Nold works as a team member to design, develop, and implement interactive solutions—from print to web and mobile—for clients. “I love how ever-changing the web industry is. There is always something newer, better, or faster on the horizon keeping things fresh and exciting,” she states. Allison also enjoys the competiveness of the industry, stating that because there are so great designers in the field, she pushes herself harder to build her own skills.
While still a student at The Art Institute of Tampa, Allison was recognized with the Pina Zangaro Award for Best Overall Portfolio, Presentation and Professionalism of the Graduating Class of 2010. She gradated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Web Design & Interactive Media. Her new career has given her the ability to continue achieving and growing as a designer. To find inspiration for projects, she often looks to fashion, photography, and cooking. “There are tons of designer entrepreneurs I look up to, including Dan Cederholm, Ryan Carson, and Sarah Parmenter,” she states.
Allison believes that the huge growth of social media will open up many design opportunities in the future. “I see all of these different websites and applications merging to create one seamless online experience. We're beginning to see that with the Facebook Like button appearing outside of Facebook and onto other websites,” she states.
