"Develop a personal vision. Also, don’t be afraid to take a related job even if you’re not sure it’s where you want to end up."
—Anna Eveslage

2010 Graduate, Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Photography, The Art Institutes International Minnesota

Anna Eveslage is working as a photo assistant and digital tech for Target Corporation in Downtown Minneapolis—the location where most of the images seen on Target.com are shot. Her photo assisting work includes helping photographers on set as well as keeping the studios clean and organized.

Anna, who in 2010 earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Photography from The Art Institutes International Minnesota, also works as a digital tech. Her responsibilities include retouching, file management, and running the computer on fast-paced shoots. She also gets to do some occasional shooting.

When looking for her first job, Anna let her personality and portfolio shine—and she believes that these attributes proved that she was the right woman for the job. She recommends that aspiring photographers work hard on building a strong portfolio of work. “Develop a personal vision. Also, don’t be afraid to take a related job even if you’re not sure it’s where you want to end up. No experience is bad experience,” she states.
