The Art Institute of Dallas
Employer: CRM Studios
Job Title: Lead Motion Graphics Artist/Art Director
"(My instructors) helped me make a name for myself in Dallas-Fort Worth as a Motion Graphics artist."
—Jeff Bannister

What’s Jeff Doing Today?
Jeff is working as a lead motion graphics artist/art director for CRM Studios. In his position, he interacts directly with other 3-D artists, compositors, editors, directors, producers, and clients. He also manages staff in production, produces 2-D and 3-D animations, develops concepts, and conducts overall art direction of finished pieces.

Creative Inspiration
Jeff finds inspiration in the thrill of seeing his work broadcast on network television. He describes the process of bringing these projects to life: “The project starts with compositing host wraps, prep artwork for sections, and creating motion graphics packages — which (comprises) up to 60 per cent of a two-hour show.” His team then incorporates 3-D and 2-D animation and splices it into a completed show.

Getting Out There
In addition to national CBS spots for Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy, Jeff has worked on regional spots for the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and Time Warner Cable. He also works on GameStop TV, a monthly project broadcast to 4,400 retail stores every month.
