Audio Production

AUDIO is Smart Fun
Want to record a demo for your band? Looking to explore the possibilities of channeling your love of music into a career? These classes are designed for music lovers who have a strong interest in music/audio production and would like exposure to professional, industry-standard software. These workshops require students to have their own headphones with a ¼ -inch connection. Students must have a basic understanding of computers. Experience on a MAC is a plus. Choose both Introduction to Pro Tools and Logic and pay just $700. (You must sign up for both classes upon registration to receive this special rate.)

Introduction to Pro Tools
3 Saturdays:  October 10, 17, 24
9:30 – 4:00  $375
Instructor: Booker Edwards
Learn various recording techniques using Pro Tools software.  As you work on your basic audio projects, you learn the principles of signal flow, recording, editing, and mixing.

Introduction to Logic
3 Saturdays: November 7, 14, 21
9:30 – 4:00  $375
Instructor: Booker Edwards
Explore audio recording, audio editing, midi recording, midi editing, virtual instruments, and audio mixing using Apple Logic Pro software. In this workshop, you’ll also explore music creation with Apple Loops, scoring movies, and project file management – all in Logic Pro. Upon completion you will have created several audio projects.
