WELCOME TO OUR KITCHEN!
 
Food Network is proud to partner with The International Culinary School at The Art Institute of Atlanta to offer you this fun, flavorful, and exciting culinary adventure. Here’s your chance to learn what the pros know  —  that making great food can be fun, easy, and delicious!
 
We’ll show you all the can-do techniques and insider tips that will add sizzle to your weeknight dinners and special celebrations. All of our classes are hands-on, so you’ll cook up a storm while working closely with our fun and knowledgeable instructors.
 
After class, feast on your own delicious culinary creations with new friends, share ideas, and get inspired to cook like a star in your own kitchen.


All needed equipment, including aprons and knives, is provided for each class. Students should wear long pants and closed-toe shoes, preferably leather with flat heels, for kitchen lab safety. The Food Network products used in these classes are provided by Kohl’s Department Store. Simply Stocks & Soups

Ask any chef and they will tell you that the secret to their restaurant quality soups is a little bit of love - and a lot of homemade stock. In this class we’ll prepare two classic chicken stocks, hearty soups like Onion, Cream of Mushroom, and Greek Egg-Lemon Avgolemono, and we’ll use stock to impart big flavors to dishes like Risotto with Winter Vegetables and Pepper Steak with Cabernet Pan Sauce.

Learn the tools of the trade – professional knife skills, fundamental cooking methods, like sautéing, steaming, and baking, and how to choose the right ingredients and organize your kitchen space. Savoring Southeast Asia

Mediterranean Tapas Party

On any given evening across the Mediterranean, bars fill up with hungry people in search of delicious little dishes called tapas. We’ll prepare our all-time favorites: Prawns with Romesco Sauce, Steamed Clams with Chorizo, Spanish Tortilla, Spanakopita, Kofta Kebabs with Tzatziki, Bacon-Wrapped Dates with Manchego, Pork Pinchos, Warm Goat Cheese Wrapped in Grape Leaves, and Citrus-Spiced Mixed Olives.

Classic Steakhouse Favorites

We love the steakhouse experience: a perfectly cooked steak, charred on the outside and juicy on the inside, served with hearty sides and scrumptious desserts. Now you can create this restaurant experience in your own home with a few of our insider tips and techniques.  We’ll show you how to grill the perfect steak, prepare Tournedos of Beef in Mushroom, Mustard, and Red Wine Sauce, and make delicious sides like Creamed Spinach and Gremolata Shoestring Potatoes. We’ll complete our steakhouse feast with a classic dessert of Little Cheesecakes with Strawberry Sauce.

Join us as we celebrate the culinary creativity, traditions, and vibrant flavors of Mexico and demystify the ingredients and techniques of authentic Mexican cooking. A Night in Tuscany

Join us on this culinary adventure through the beautiful cuisine of Italy. Learn how to make an Italian feast of Pappardelle with Chicken Ragu, Steak Florentine, Antipasti Salad, side dishes like Mushrooms with Rosemary and Garlic, and Cauliflower with Brown Butter & Crispy Crumbs. We’ll finish off the class in grand Italian style with a traditional sweet dolce  of Fruit Crostata, Zabaglione with Biscotti, and delicious Tiramisu.

Cupcake Extravaganza

Join us at this all-out cupcake extravaganza where tasty little cakes get top billing. You’ll learn all the secrets to baking our moist and delicious Classic Yellow Cupcakes and Little Devil’s Cupcakes, as well as how to whip up Peanut Butter Frosting, Chocolate Ganache Glaze, Buttercream Frosting, and our decadent Chocolate Cream Cheese Filling. We’ll finish the class with some pointers on how to decorate, display, and serve these small bundles of joy.

Paris Bistro at Home

Paris, the ‘City of Lights,’ is known for its charming neighborhood bistros which serve up some of the city’s most simple yet sophisticated fare. How To Boil Water 2.0

With just a few simple techniques and know-how you can make a great meal any day of the week.  Learn the fundamentals of cooking: roasting, sautéing, blanching, and making vinaigrettes and pan sauces. We’ll prepare a three-course meal of Marinated Mushrooms and Arugula Salad, Roast Pork Loin with Apples, Chicken with Balsamic and Garlic, Rice Pilaf, Green Beans with Shallots, and a dessert of Roasted Pears with Chocolate Ice Cream.
