The Art Institute of Atlanta Presents “Pop Fiction Fashion Show†June 3 at the Courtyard Marriott Perimeter Center
ATLANTA (GA) – The fashion & retail management department at The Art Institute of Atlanta is proud to present “Pop Fiction Fashion Show” on June 3, 2009, 7 to 9 pm at the Courtyard Perimeter Center. A silent auction benefiting Dress for Success will precede the fashion show. The event is free and open to the public.
“Pop Fiction Fashion Show” is the first-ever fashion show produced by the fashion & retail management program. Students from the event & fashion show production class, lead by instructor JaVaun Gorman, have spent months planning and preparing for this event that will highlight two Atlanta-based designers, Vanessa Vinci and Evonya Easley.
Vanessa Vinci Designs by Vanessa Vinci creates feminine and flirty dresses according to its “just accessorize and go” clothing mantra. Vanessa Vinci’s clothing vision is to take one dress and wear it in 100 different ways. Vanessa Vinci Designs encourages women to look fabulous without the fuss by using fabrics that travel well and styles that can quickly morph into a variety of looks.
Love E Clothing by Evonya Easley offers professional women unique wardrobe pieces that combine simplistic flair with classy and professional styles. The line captures various aspects of career, resort, and formal wear exuding the feminine lifestyle within all social settings. In addition to its seasonal lines, Love E Clothing offers beautiful customization and accessories.
A silent auction will precede the fashion show. Auction items include pieces from Tiffany & Co., Betsey Johnson, Ann Roth Shows, and Debbie Pagano Jewelry. All proceeds will benefit the non-profit organization Dress for Success, which promotes economic independence for women by providing professional attire, career development, and support.
