Brittany Petish Wins 50th Anniversary Scholarship From The Art Institute of Atlanta

The Art Institute of Atlanta awarded its 50th Anniversary Scholarship in the amount of $2,500 to graphic design student Brittany Petish of Acworth, GA (30101). This scholarship is awarded based on a student’s dedication to their field of study, their academic excellence, and their service to the college and the community.

“I have already begun to use the skills that I have learned here at The Art Institute of Atlanta,” said Brittany Petish. “I am an intern for an advertising agency and I am teaching cultural arts to kindergarteners through fifth graders in an after school enrichment program at Frey Elementary.”

Initiated in 1999 as part of its fiftieth anniversary celebration, The Art Institute of Atlanta 50th Anniversary Scholarship is awarded to between one and four students each year. The students must be in at least their fourth quarter (but no further than their second-to-last quarter) at The Art Institute of Atlanta, have achieved a 3.5 CGPA or better in all course work, and must submit a résumé and two letters of recommendation from a faculty member in their major department with endorsement from their department chair.
