Michael Hayhurst Wins EDMC Education Foundation Scholarship From The Art Institute of Atlanta

The Art Institute of Atlanta awarded a $2,000 scholarship from the EDMC Education Foundation to audio production student Michael Hayhurst of Woodstock, GA (30188). This scholarship is awarded based on a student’s dedication to their field of study, their academic excellence, their service to the college and the community, and financial need.

“My career at The Art Institute started when a representative came to my high school and spoke about an up and coming major: audio production,” said Michael Hayhurst. “My thoughts immediately stirred. I have always been interested in the process of creating music, from the initial idea to the final product. Now I am in my tenth quarter and loving every minute of it!”

The EDMC Education Foundation was established in 2000 to offer scholarship support to students interested in continuing their education at one of the postsecondary, career-focused schools in the EDMC system. At The Art Institute of Atlanta, applicants must be currently enrolled in an associate’s or bachelor’s degree program and be in at least their fourth quarter (but no further than their second-to-last quarter). Scholarship entries are considered every quarter.
