The Art Institute of Atlanta Announces SmartFun Classes for Fall

ATLANTA (GA) – Fall is in the air and with that wonderful crisp breeze coming around the corner, it’sthe perfect time to get re-energized with exciting new challenges, the kind of challenges you’ll find with SmartFun classes at The Art Institute of Atlanta. Classes start October 10 and, as usual, we offer something for just about everyone, from photography to Web design to baking!

Cooking is Smart Fun
Love to cook? These classes are for you! All you need is an apron and two kitchen towels. Students should wear long pants and closed toe shoes with flat heels and rubber soles for kitchen safety. Sign up for three classes and get the fourth class at no charge!
With all the interest in “Julie and Julia,” how can you resist? On October 24, we’ll show you how to throw your own Julia Child French dinner party, with classics like Coquilles St. Jacques à la Provencale and Boeuf Bourguignon! You can also learn what to prepare for “A Night in Tuscany” and “A Night in the Greek Isles.” In all, there are eight cooking classes to choose from. And for the wine enthusiast, sign up for the six evenings of “Wines and Spirits of the World.”
Interior Decorating is Smart Fun
Addicted to HGTV? Always rearranging your furniture? There are two classes for the home decorator where you can learn how to design your home on a shoestring or get your house ready to put on the market.
Interior Design for Professionals
Professional interior designers will love the class that will teach them what designers need to know to specify custom furniture. This class even has an ASID CEU value of 0.4. There are also beginning and intermediate classes in CAD.
Web Site Design is Smart Fun
Everyone has a Web site these days, so why not learn how to build your own? You can even earn a Web Site Design Certificate of Completion. There are great courses to help you learn how to use that new digital camera you just bought, or learn how to create videos that will impress friends and colleagues. There’s truly something for everyone with The Art Institute of Atlanta’s SmartFun classes.
Audio Production is Smart Fun
Want to turn your love of music into a career? Want to record a demo for your band? Introductory classes to Pro Tools and Logic will help you get started. The classes are designed for music lovers who have a strong interest in music/audio production and want to learn more.
Filmmaking & Video Production is Smart Fun
Whether you want to edit your family reunion video or shoot an independent short film, the introduction to video production and to video editing and compositing will teach you the basics. There are also classes in 3D special effects and more.
Graphic Design is Smart Fun
Learn how to use the programs in Adobe Creative Suite 4 to create graphics, design newsletters, enhance photographs and much more! Classes are designed for beginners and power-users alike and cover Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
Photography is Smart Fun
Who doesn’t love to take photographs? And how many of us don’t really know how to use that terrific new digital camera! These classes will help you become more proficient with your camera or learn how to take amazing portraits of friends and family.
