If The Art Institute of Atlanta Library does not own a book you need or does not provide access to an article through GALILEO, the Library can borrow books and receive photocopies of articles from other libraries. This service is available to faculty, staff, and currently enrolled students of The Art Institute of Atlanta.
The Library does not charge for this service, but charges may be imposed by the lending library. Any charges incurred are your responsibility. If the lending library imposes a charge, The Art Institute Library will notify you before the request is placed. The Library makes every effort to borrow material from libraries that do not charge.
Requests are processed quickly, but many items take a week or longer to arrive. You will receive a phone call or e-mail when the material has arrived.
The lending library sets the loan period and may require that the book not leave The Art Institute Library.
