To creativity and beyond
Here's (almost) everything you ever wanted to know about entry requirements, tuition, what our catalog has to say, and even more.
Special Programs
The Art Institute offers many enrichment opportunities for students, from guest speakers to internships and trips off campus. Recent speakers in the Visiting Artists Lecture Series include photographer Sean Kernan, Kathryn Peaslee and David Gibbs of the Los Angeles animation company Panopoly Pictures, and Scott Jones of Southern Living magazine.
Internships for Academic Credit
Many upper-quarter students qualify academically and professionally to work for academic credit as interns with cooperating employers. Internships provide an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience. Credit is based on an evaluation of work completed during the internship. Tuition and fees for internships are based on the number of credit hours approved for the internship by the department chair. Internships may be paid or unpaid.
Off-Campus Programs and Trips
Field trips such as visits to galleries and museums provide varied program and course-related activities beyond class work.
