Parking & Transportation

Parking at The Art Institute of Atlanta
Parking is available in lots adjacent to The Art Institute and in each of the residence areas. A parking permit is required for which a fee is charged. Permits may be purchased from the supply store (first floor). If you choose to drive, you should be aware that parking space is limited and you will want to arrive early enough to find a space prior to your classes. Additional information may be found in the Student Handbook.

Public Transportation
To avoid the problems of traffic and limited parking, consider using public transportation. The MARTA Sandy Springs rail station (North Springs Line) is only a short walk from the campus and there is shuttle service between the station and the college. Not only is MARTA less expensive than driving, it’s a safer and more convenient alternative. Route maps are available in the student affairs office. Monthly and weekly MARTA passes are available in the supply store at discounted rates.

Carpooling
Another cost-saving option is carpooling. One permit can be shared by several drivers and carpooling saves on wear and tear. It also reduces the stress of driving in Atlanta traffic. For more information about carpooling, contact the student affairs office.
