Andrew Rooney
Andrew Rooney truly is a man of the world. He has traveled around the globe, doing what he was educated in; live audio and enjoying it every step of the way. Working for Scorpio Sound Systems for the past four years has given him countless opportunities to apply his skills in live concert venues with various acts.
Andrew delivers, assembles and trouble shoots PA systems for such Boston area venues such as Avalon, The Orpheum and Bank of America Pavilion. He also mixes local and national touring acts, and/or assists visiting engineers while managing a crew and maintaining a tight schedule of events for any given concert performance. Some of the acts that Andrew has worked with include; The Rolling Stones, Muse, Coldplay, Justin Timberlake and Fallout Boy. Andrew also toured the United States as a monitor engineer for MTV Campus Invasions Tour with Motion City Soundtrack, Straylight Run and Hello Goodbye. Some of his International experience includes touring Ireland with Rubyhorse as front of house engineer, and hitting Europe with one of Boston's favorites, The Dropkick Murphys.
Andrew thanks John Krivit for helping him understand music theory, Allan Kraut for landing him some of his first live sound gigs, and John Lay for helping him acquire two different internships that turned into steady jobs and led him to where he is today.
One piece of advice that Andrew never forgets? As told to him by Tim McKenna a Live Nation Production Manager; "It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice." This advice has obviously paid off for Andrew, keep up the good work.
