The Certificate of Completion in Digital Graphic Design will introduce you to the fundamentals of digital graphic design and is geared toward those who wish to enhance and elevate their skills and creativity. You will be taught conceptual design of effective communication materials through the use of visual elements such as color, typography and visual relationships. From concept to product delivery, course content is designed with the most relevant industry standards in mind. Faculty members are working in the fields in which they teach, and can therefore update participants on current industry demands and practices in a hands-on setting, thereby giving individual attention to all participants. All work will culminate in the creation of an individual project that draws from the skills attained throughout the Certificate of Completion.

Courses
Courses are hands-on and each participant will have access to an individual terminal. All classes will meet one evening per week and are scheduled at times convenient for working professionals. Both Mac and PC labs are available for work. Certificates are comprised of five modules and 100 contact hours. Continuing education units are awarded, and at the completion of a program certificate, participants will be awarded a Certificate of Completion.

Objectives
Although employment assistance and/or counseling services are not available, the skills attained through the Certificate programs will provide participants with a creative edge and enhanced marketability that can be used to guide career directions or be applied to current positions within a multitude of industries. The Certificate programs will also prepare participants for more advanced studies and elevate their abilities in entrepreneurial endeavors and private projects.

Admissions Requirements
Participants in the Digital Graphic Design Certificate are required to have a fundamental working knowledge of software applications on a Mac or PC platform and have worked in a professional capacity for at least two years. Direct industry experience is not required.
