Chriztine Foltz
Adjunct Faculty, Interior Design

Christine Foltz graduated from the College of Handarts and Industrial Design (now the Design School) in Copenhagen, Denmark with a degree in textile design. During the 1980s she designed woven fabrics for home furnishings, umbrellas, rainwear and accessories in New York City and was part of the SWATCH Accessory Design Team. Since 1988, she has worked in the graphic arts and prepress industry and is presently teaching Graphic Arts, Design and Textiles at the college level. She consults with an engineering company to help solve weaving, textile and clothing design problems for the military and medical fields. For one project, she wove an electronic tapestry for International Fashion Machine (IFM), which was shown in the Cooper-Hewitt Museum Triennial Show of 2003. Her tapestries have earned awards and can be found in private collections.
