Tai Irwin
Career Advisor/Audio
Tai got his first radio experience at the age of 16, interning with Denis McNamara, Program Director at the legendary WLIR in New York. He was both disc jockey and talk show host with WQBK am/fm in Albany New York, before moving to Boston. For more than 20 years Tai was heard on New England airwaves, including WZLX, WRKO, WROR, WTKK, and for ten consecutive years on WFNX - where he was known as "Morning Guy Tai."
During this stretch he was voted "Boston's Favorite DJ" in the Boston Globe Readers' Poll. More recently he's been featured on KLSX, Los Angeles, 100.7 The Buzz in Seattle, Sirius Satellite Radio, and filled in for the show "Imus In The Morning." Tai has made appearances on television near and far, including WGBH-TV as media expert on "Greater Boston", MSNBC, CNN, and BBC as well as NBC's "Today Show."
He also spent time at Salem State College as advisor to radio station WMWM. Tai has written for
Boston Herald.com, Boston Phoenix and Boston Metro.
