Tanya has taught composition at Salem
State College, creative writing at the
Teachers and Writers Collaborative in
New York and also taught technology at
the Academy of American Poets' Online
Poetry Classroom Summer Institute at
Columbia University. In addition to being a
teacher at the creative writing studio
workshop at the University of Iowa, she
also has been a children's book writer
with PowerKids Press. Her poems have
been published in Quarterly West, Iowa
Journal of Cultural Students, Fence,
Poetry Daily and The Boston Book Review.
She received an honorable mention,
Academy of American Poets' Prize from
the University of Iowa and was a
semifinalist for. Discovery/The Nation
Poetry Prize. While at Columbia she did a
Summer Human Rights Fellowship in
Nepal.
