- (June 17, 2004)

Forty and Fabulous is the theme of the Brookline Arts Center's big birthday party planned for Sunday, September 12, 2004 at The New England Institute of Art in Brookline Village. "From 4:00 to 7:00pm there's going to be great fun and frivolity," said Susan Navarre, arts center director "along with live music, dancers, food, libations, celebrities and surprises. Plus a really special birthday cake for all."

Located in a historic former fire station on Monmouth St. in Brookline for 40 years, BAC has provided cultural connections and arts-oriented education for hundreds of residents, including children, adults and senior citizens.

Day and night the center offers a wide variety of art classes for all levels of skills, and for the past two years has successfully launched a gallery which continues to attract artists and the general public with its challenging and changing exhibitions.

"We are delighted to offer our Brookline Village facility as the setting for this upcoming party," said Stacey Sweeney, President of The New England Institute of Art, "Brookline Arts Center is a jewel in Brookline's crown and it is a pleasure to join in saluting this great arts center, with its many years of service to the community." Tickets to the party are $65.00 and can be purchased from the BAC at 86 Monmouth St. or by calling (617) 566-5715. For further information visit their website at.
