Brookline-based College Names Career Services Director

The New England Institute of Art today announced the promotion of John Lay to Director of Career Services.
John joined The New England Institute of Art in 1999 as adjunct faculty in the Audio Production department, teaching classes in Music Publishing and Artist Management. He then took the position of Career Advisor, assisting audio production students in finding entry-level jobs, rising to the position of Senior Career Advisor.
Before joining The New England Institute of Art John was President of his own artist management company and independent record label; One Fifteen West Management Company, Inc., and One Fifteen Records, Inc. John served as Managing Director and Freelance Manager for that company in London, England, where he successfully managed and implemented multi-million dollar budgets, negotiated recordings, publishing, television and film contracts.
