INT-140
Web Design and Development I
Instructor: Dale Campbell
Goal: This
course focuses on designing and developing a Web site using Hypertext
Markup Language (HTML), the language to create documents on the
World Wide Web. It includes making a checklist of prerequisites
for establishing a corporate presence on the World Wide Web including
topics such as how to justify costs to management. Students will
build a Web Site, which integrates images and animation, and create
image maps, forms, and tables. The class focuses on design as
well as coding for the Web.
Assignment: In the final project
for INT-140, students create a small business web site. Here we
have the '12-A-Day Cafe'. A fictitious restaurant web site. Students
are encouraged to be creative as well as structured in their designs.
The design must contain several basic elements including, global
navigation, a form for user input, creation and effective use
of graphics, clarity of content and reaching its target audience. |
