Interface Design Instructor: Julia Voellinger Griffey
Goal: The
goal of Interface Design includes:
-> to be able to define the process
of designing interfaces
-> to expand both your visual and verbal vocabulary as it
relates to interface design and it's technologies
-> to make connections between the impact of the interface
and everyday culture
-> an understanding and awareness of how content, architecture
and design merge to form an interactive experience
Assignment:
Look of the Century is a book that examines, in detail,
the objects which exist in everyday life, from jewelry to jukeboxes,
clocks to clothing, and calculators to coffee tables. Each spread
focuses on a specific item and shows the chronological development
of that object from inspiration to contemporary innovations. You
will be making an alpha prototype of the interactive version of
this book - designing the look and feel and making one small part
of it actually work.
