The Bachelor of Science degree program in Web Design & Interactive Media offers hands-on experiences in everything from designing streaming media to managing website growth and exploring new dimensions with electronic shopping and interactivity. Students can study a wide range of areas, from designing virtual worlds to marketing on the internet. Students learn to develop and manage web activities and create e-commerce applications. Students work in the college's internet labs, where they learn about website development and management, marketing and e-commerce, measuring the success of online activities, and protecting secure access. Students graduate with skills in building and maintaining websites and developing internet-based strategies to help organizations integrate the web into their operations.

You will leave equipped with a professional portfolio to help start your career in entry-level media jobs such as new media producer, information architect, DVD producer, and interactive designer. As a graduate of this program you will be prepared for entry-level positions in this rapidly expanding and fascinating field.

Concentrations
Students can elect to concentrate in digital video production, interactive sound or web development.

Graduation Requirements
To receive a Bachelor of Science in Web Design & Interactive Media, you must complete a minimum of 120 credit hours with 40 credit hours in General Education courses with a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher. Also, you must receive a passing grade or credit for all required course work, meet portfolio or other requirements, complete a 120-hour internship or capstone project, and satisfy all financial obligations to The New England Institute of Art.
