Artist Statement:

My photographs are an attempt to seek and document the truth, recording forever one single moment. Through direct and honest portrayals, I aim to capture a person in all of their specificity while also creating a portrait that is universal.

Since 2005 I have been photographing people within the transgender and gender variant community, creating images that speak to the infinite variations of gender identity and expression. ….Ultimately my photographs are an exploration into humanity, depicting what makes each of us who we are while striving to make something larger, something universal, out of something very specific and detailed.
