Q. Where can I find information about school sponsored housing?
A. You may check off interest in college-sponsored housing on your application for admission. You may also enquire about housing through your Assistant Director of Admissions or by contacting the Student Affairs office at 617.582.4631.
Q. How do I apply for housing?
A. Once you indicate to Admissions, or to Student Affairs, your interest in applying, we will send you a Housing Packet which contains the Housing Contract, Housing Emergency Form, Roommate Questionnaire, and Information on What to Bring to the Residence Halls.
Q. What if I need help, or have questions or concerns about the Housing Packet?

Q. What information is provided in the Housing Contract?
A. The Contract provides you with the most important details of your housing, including the term of your occupancy, meal plan information, refund policy, security deposit, information about damages, early termination, subletting, parking, utilities, rules and regulations, and much, much more! It is imperative that you read the contract fully, then sign it, chose a meal plan, and mail it back to the college.
Q. How do I secure a space in housing?
A. By submitting the completed Housing Packet, including the: Housing Contract, Housing Emergency Form, Roommate Questionnaire, as well as a $400 non-refundable housing deposit, we will add you to the housing list for a space on a first-come, first-served basis.
Q. Are there any circumstances under which I can get my deposit refunded?
A. The $400 housing deposit is non-refundable unless the student is not accepted or we are unable to provide the student a space on move-in day.
Q. If I am over 18, do my parents need to sign the contract?
A. Yes. Unless you are financially independent according to the Federal Government's Financial Aid Guidelines, your parent or guardian must sign the contract.
Q. What happens if I break my housing agreement by leaving school and/or moving out of housing during my terms of occupancy?
A. If you break your housing agreement and terms of occupancy by moving out of housing for any reason including academic, judicial, and or personal reasons - there is a agreement break penalty of three month(s) rent, in addition to your forfeiture of the $400.00 housing deposit.
Q. What is the price of housing per semester?
A. The price of housing varies dependent upon your housing assignment. Room and board prices are fixed at $6,900 per semester..
Q. How long will it take me to commute to the NEiA academic campus?
A. Each housing location is located within 2 miles of the main NEiA academic campus. Students often choose to walk, ride their bike, or take public transportation to their classes. The College runs a shuttle to the Artists Village at Pine Manor College. All students living in school sponsored housing receive a semester T-pass.
Q. How will I know if I am accepted into housing?
A. Once we receive you completed housing packet, you will receive verification in the mail as well as move-in information. If you want to know your housing status, please contact Mr. Brian Burnham, Director of Residence Life at 617-582-4631.
Q. May I come and take a tour of the dorms?
A. Of Course!
Q. How will I know what is appropriate or inappropriate to bring to the dorms?
A. Inside your housing packet, you will find detailed information about what to bring as well as what not to bring. If you have any questions about items not on this list, give us a call!
Q. When will I find out who my roommate is?
A. Roommate assignments will be given out as soon as possible. You will be notified via mail who your roommate is, as well as your room number prior to moving in.
Q. If I already know someone I want to room with, may I request that person?
A. Yes. You may request to be placed with a specific person. As long as that other student also agrees to the arrangement, Residence Life will do their best to fulfill your request, though no guarantees can be made.
Q. Is the dorm co-ed?
A. Yes. The Residence Halls are co-ed by floor.
