Pine Manor College
  • Artist’s Village at Pine Manor College – 400 Heath St, Chestnut Hill, MA 02467
  • $6,900.00 per semester, per student for room includes meal plan

Artists Village (West Village) at Pine Manor College’s (PMC) picturesque campus is situated on 60 wooded acres in the Chestnut Hill section of Brookline, Massachusetts, five miles from downtown Boston. The college is accessible by both automobile and public transportation. The campus is located just off Route 9 and is a ten to fifteen-minute walk to the Chestnut Hill station on the Green Line of the "T", Boston's trolley and subway system. The college provides regular shuttle service to the train station when classes are in session. Pine Manor College has a shuttle that Artists Village residents can use to go to the Chestnut Hill or Reservoir T-stops. The Pine Manor shuttle will also bring students to Star Market and the mall.

Artists Village has double and single dorm style bedrooms, laundry facilities, lounge/study areas, and communal bathrooms/showers. All rooms are equipped with an internet connection, phone line and basic-cable hookup. Each residence hall room is equipped with one phone jack. Students will have a phone (provided) in their rooms with on-campus dialing and 9-1-1, but will need a calling card for local/long distance service. Communal areas such as floor lounges and bathrooms are cleaned by the PMC cleaning staff. The New England Institute of Art Students have access to campus resources including a campus student union, library, cafeteria, and athletic facilities.

Students are required to have a meal plan. Students may choose between a 10, 14, or 12 all-you-care to eat meals per week. The meal plans come with additional dining dollars (Gator Bucks) which can be used for late night dining or in Café 400. During the summer only the 19 meal plan is offered without Gator Bucks. Students can request a mailbox at PMC and can pick up their mail in the Pine Manor Campus Center (depending on the number of students requesting mailboxes, students may share boxes with their roommate).

Students residing at PMC may also bring a car to campus for an additional cost of $150.00 for the year (Fall & Winter). Summer is an additional $40.00 cost. Parking passes are purchased through PMC Campus Safety; prices are set by Pine Manor College and subject to change.

Campus is approximately 2.5 miles from Pine Manor College. Students can walk or take the Pine Manor shuttle to the Chestnut Hill Station. Take the Green line/D-train Government Center inbound and the school is located on the Green line/D-train Brookline Village stop.

All housing options have professional staff (Residence Life Coordinators and/or Resident Directors) and Resident Assistants living in the buildings. Staff members are present to act as a resource for students, provide educational and social programming, enforce policy, and to act as a liaison between the students and the host site. Each room will be furnished with a minimum of a bed, desk, desk chair, and storage space for each student. The Nora’s House Apartments also include a dining area table and chairs. Although the different housing sites may have their own unique rules, students are held accountable to the Housing Rules and Regulations outlined in the Housing License Agreement as well as the Student Conduct Code. There are mandatory building meetings at the beginning of each semester to outline unique rules for specific housing locations that may be set by each host site.
