Project Runway's Mychael Knight visits The Art Institute of Charleston!

"Figure out who you are... Be proactive... Think smarter, not harder..." These are just a few words of inspiration Mychael Knight spoke to the students on March 27th at the Art Institute of Charleston.  Knight was a finalist on season 3 of Project Runway and was in Charleston as one of the celebrity guests of Charleston Fashion Week 2009.  Knight made time to come to The Art Institute of Charleston to talk to the students and faculty about where he’s been, what he's been doing since Project Runway, and where his career is headed.  Knight also gave the students some really great advice about having a career in fashion and how to pursue your dreams. He said to "always be curious and take advantage of the resources you have around you," adding, "take what’s good for you and reject what's not, however, you can't take it all, and you can't reject it all." Mychael Knight was very inspirational to the school's aspiring designers and stylists and emphasized that things take a little time, sometimes things move slower than you'd like, know what  you want and never give up!
