Financial Aid: State Financial Aid

The Art Institute of Charlotte offers the following scholarships:

Elizabeth M. "Libby" Guinan Scholarship for Continuing Students: This scholarship was established in 2006 with a mission to promote opportunities for students who have exhibited outstanding potential during their studies at The Art Institute of Charlotte. The school awards one scholarship in the amount of $2,500 annually for a student enrolled in an associate's or bachelor's degree program, who meets the scholarship eligibility requirements, and who is nominated by the Academic Advisor in their his/her of study. The scholarship may be applied to program tuition, fees, books and/or supplies.

President's Scholarship: Students who are enrolled full-time in a bachelor's or associate's degree program at The Art Institute of Charlotte are eligible to apply quarterly for this scholarship in the amount of up to $700 per quarter.

Dean's Creative Grant: Students who are enrolled full-time in a bachelor's or associate's degree program at The Art Institute of Charlotte are eligible to apply for this grant of up to $100 to be used in the school's print shop or supply store.

Student Ambassador Scholarship: Those who serve as student ambassadors for The Art Institute of Charlotte are awarded a $200 quarterly scholarship. Student ambassadors are chosen by a committee comprising faculty and staff, based on academic record and leadership ability. Student ambassadors must be third quarter or higher-level students and maintain a 3.0 or higher CGPA.

Family Scholarship: This scholarship of $500 per quarter is awarded to students from the same immediate family (i.e., siblings, parents) who are enrolled at The Art Institute of Charlotte concurrently. Students must be registered for at least 12 credit hours per quarter. The Family Scholarship award is based on fund availability.

DECA: One student is awarded $1000 for DECA's T. Carl Brown scholarship. Interested students must apply through their high school DECA program to compete at the annual North Carolina DECA Conference.  

Financial aid provided by the state of North Carolina varies based on the state of residence of the student and where the school is located.
