Jim Mountjoy, named the Southeast’s top creative director twice by his peers, will speak at the graduation ceremony of The Art Institute of Charlotte at 6:30 p.m. Friday, June 19, at Dana Auditorium at Queens University of Charlotte.

Mountjoy has spent more than 30 years at his own agency, Loeffler Ketchum Mountjoy Advertising, and has produced an array of work that has been honored by The New York Art Directors, International Film Festival, Communication Arts, Graphis and others.

The valedictory address will be given by Kandace Clay, a Fashion Marketing & Management graduate from Glen Daniel, West Virginia.

Prospective employers, family and friends are invited to support the Spring Quarter graduates by attending Portfolio Show the day before graduation.

New graduates in the applied arts such as graphic and web designers, interior designers, marketing specialists in fashion and future chefs will showcase the work that they have produced throughout their careers at The Art Institute of Charlotte.

The Portfolio Show will be from 5:00-7:30 p.m. Thursday, June 18, at Charlotte Convention Center. It is open to the public without charge.
