Ciarlante Opens New Photo BA Program
CIARLANTE KICKS OFF FIRST QUARTER PHOTOGRAPHY BA PROGRAM
AT THE ART INSTITUTE OF CHARLOTTE
CHARLOTTE, NC – Professional photographer and educator Joe Ciarlante, owner of Ciarlante Photography in Charlotte since 1985, has begun teaching in the inaugural bachelor’s program in Photography at The Art Institute of Charlotte.
A commercial photographer for 30 years, Ciarlante also has been involved in photographic education for more than 25 years. He is teaching Principles of Photography, a foundation course for Photography and for Digital Filmmaking & Video Production students.
The Art Institute of Charlotte kicked off its newly accredited Bachelor of Arts programs in Photography and in Digital Filmmaking & Video Production with the Spring Quarter which began March 31.
Ciarlante holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in photography from The Tyler School of Art at Temple University in Philadelphia and a Master of Fine Arts in photography from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. His teaching experience includes Northwestern University at Chicago, the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and Winthrop University, as well as several organizations for professional photographers which he founded and continues to lead and mentor.
