At stake is an opportunity to move on to the Best Teen Chef Final Round Competition 2008 to be held in Las Vegas, NV, on Saturday, May 17. There, lucky finalists will vie for a full tuition scholarship to study Culinary Arts at one of The International Culinary Schools at The Art Institutes and the title Best Teen Chef 2008.
Open to high school seniors, the Best Teen Chef competition, now in its 9th year, was created to recognize, reward and encourage young culinary talent at the high school level.
The 10 students first compete in knife skills, then prepare a two-course meal for final judging.
The Art Institute of Charlotte is one of The Art Institutes (www.artinstitutes.edu), a system of over 40 education institutions located throughout North America, providing an important source of design, media arts, fashion and culinary professionals.
