The Art Institute of Charlotte is a campus of South University. South University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award certificates, associate degrees, and baccalaureate degrees. Program Accreditation
The Associate of Science degree in Culinary Arts is accredited by The Accrediting Commission of the American Culinary Federation Education Foundation.

State Licensing
The Art Institute of Charlotte is licensed to award certificates by the North Carolina State Board of Community Colleges and licensed to award Associate and Bachelor degrees by the Board of Governors of the University of North Carolina.
