THE ELIZABETH M. GUINAN GALLERY

Goals and Mission
The Elizabeth M. "Libby" Guinan Gallery serves as a non-commercial exhibition space that reflects and exemplifies the artwork of professionals, faculty, students, and graduates in their professional fields. The goals of the Gallery are:

  • To inspire and challenge students through examples of accomplished artists
  • To enrich the learning community at The Art Institute of Charlotte through exhibitions that demonstrate high levels of excellence
  • To provide opportunities to increase public awareness of The Art Institute of Charlotte and our role in the art community
  • To expose the local community to relevant faculty, student, and professional work.

Location
The Gallery is located ion the ground floor reception area of The Art Institute of Charlotte (Three LakePointe Plaza, 2110 Water Ridge Parkway, Charlotte) and is open to the public at no charge.

Gallery Hours
Monday through Friday 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Saturday, Sunday 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Closed Holidays.

Exhibit Schedule
The Art Institute of Charlotte mounts up to 12 shows each year in the gallery. Most of the exhibits are celebrated with an Artist’s Reception to which the public, as well as students, faculty, and staff, is invited. View current gallery schedule.

Name History
The Gallery is named in honor of Elizabeth M. "Libby" Guinan, Founder and first President of The Art Institute of Charlotte.
