Chicago College Instructor Gets Environmental with "Little Green Men"
Chicago — We're in an era where self-interest and the common good intersect according to Michael Wright, a digital filmmaking instructor at The Illinois Institute of Art — Chicago and producer on a new television show set to debut on Wednesday, April 22 on Chicago's WYCC (PBS).
"Little Green Men" will introduce the audience to electricians, roofers, masons, carpenters and plumbers, as they descend upon urban homes, making them ecologically sustainable and economically efficient. Wright developed the idea for the show after he and his wife bought an older condo with its old pipes, electrical and heating and colling systems.
The show's editor is Wright's fellow co-worker, instructor Chaslav Krstich. A dozen students from The Illinois Institute of Art — Chicago's digital filmmaking program served as apprentices on the pilot episode.
