The Tastiest Houses in Town Culinary Students from The Illinois Institute of Art - Chicago Build Best Gingerbread Houses

Chicago, Ill. – Students from The International Culinary School at The Illinois Institute of Art – Chicago took home top prizes from a competition that embodies the holiday spirit. Matthew Schad won first place and Shawnta Stewart came in second in the third annual Pastry Chicago Gingerbread Celebration.

Schad and Stewart beat out more than 30 students from three other Chicago culinary schools, constructing the best gingerbread houses. It took them about three weeks to “build” their houses.
