The Illinois Institute of Art – Chicago hosts NBC’s “Fashion Star” Casting Call
Fashion savvy applicants audition for newest NBC series

WHAT:
Hundreds of aspiring designers are expected to line up for a chance to be the first “Fashion Star”. The new reality series, developed by NBC, multi-media studio Electus and The Magical Elves (Emmy Award winners of “Project Runway” and “Top Chef”), will hold a casting call at The Illinois Institute of Art – Chicago. The series, hosted by super-model turned actress Elle Macpherson, will feature 12 designers competing to win a multi-million dollar contract to launch their lines.

Contestants will participate in weekly challenges, judged by noteworthy designers and buyers from America’s largest retail stores, resulting in the week’s winning design to be featured at the end of each episode and sold in stores the next day. All interested applicants are encouraged to attend the open casting call at The Illinois Institute of Art – Chicago.

WHO:
Fashion-savvy competitors with all levels of experience will vie for the opportunity to have their fashion lines launched in America’s largest retail stores.
