Student Life
Services
The Illinois Institute of Art-Chicago recognizes the value of learning which
takes place outside of the classroom setting and the importance of providing
students with opportunities that enhance their personal development. With the
needs of our students in mind, we make available a wide variety of social and
educational activities that will positively enhance their skills as leaders
in the professional world and in their community. Orientation events provide
students with an introduction to the academic environment, extracurricular
life, and residence life and campus surroundings. Activities that provide opportunities
for involvement on campus occur on a regular basis and include; Welcome Week
events, student organizations, leadership workshops, special guest presentations,
heritage celebrations, holiday events, and unique contests. Students are welcome
to contact the Student Development Coordinator in the Student Affairs office
at (800) 351-3450,
extension 6966 for more information on these events
and student organization activities.
