Cincinnati, October 22, 2009] -- If a career in the fashion industry is that to which you aspire, entering The Art Institute of Ohio - Cincinnati’s Passion for Fashion Competition 2010 could help bring you one step closer to that goal.
The search is on! The Art Institutes schools, including The Art Institute of Ohio - Cincinnati, are looking for high school seniors interested in the fashion industry to enter The Art Institutes Passion for Fashion Competition.
The Art Institutes Passion for Fashion Competition was created to encourage and reward young fashion talent.
One grand prize winner in each of the two categories (i) Fashion Design and (ii) Fashion Marketing & Merchandising and Retail Management will earn a full tuition scholarship to study at a participating Art Institutes school. Students competing for The Art Institute of Ohio will create entries for the Fashion Marketing & Merchandising and Retail Management Category.
To be eligible to enter, a student must be a high school senior scheduled to graduate in 2010.
In the Fashion Design category, entry requirements include submission of an original evening wear design. In the Fashion Marketing & Merchandising and Retail Management category, entry requirements include a finished product or plan.
"The Art Institutes Passion for Fashion Competition provides high school seniors interested in the fashion industry with an opportunity to demonstrate their talents in the hopes of earning a tuition scholarship," said Linda Clark, Interim Academic Director for Fashion Merchandising, The Art Institute of Ohio - Cincinnati.
Each grand prize winner, in partnership with Seventeen Magazine, also receives a trip to New York City to attend a Fashion Week show, a "meet and greet" at Seventeen Magazine's offices, lunches with a Seventeen Magazine Style Pro and receives a $500 shopping spree.
The deadline to submit entries to The Art Institute of Ohio- Cincinnati’s is November 20, 2009.
