Designers Statement
To me, art is an expression of inner emotions put into an illustration to show the thoughts of the artist. Design is my passion and I cannot envision myself doing anything else. I believe my imagination is my greatest tool and creativity should not be wasted.
My design was created from my original drawing and scanned into Adobe Illustrator CS2. I chose to create the illusion of a flying bird shedding its feathers to symbolize the breaking free from black and white and showing one’s true colors. The bird represents freedom, and the feathers coming off the bird reveal its inner beauty and creativity, shedding the ordinary and striving for the extraordinary.
