The Art Institutes Competitions for High School Students

Are you a high school student in the U.S. or Canada with creative drive and inspiration? Have a passion for fashion? A whiz at poster design? Love to cook? Enter one of The Art Institutes North American competitions and you could earn a tuition scholarship to attend one of The Art Institutes schools! A total of more than $400,000 from competitions is awarded every year to talented high school students just like you who want to pursue a creative degree at one of The Art Institutes schools.

The Art Institutes Photography Competition

The Art Institutes Storytellers Photography Scholarship Competition challenges those interested in pursuing a photography education to submit eight photos based on the theme, “Storytelling Through the Lens” and an artist’s statement describing the photos. The grand prize winners will each earn a tuition scholarship to The Art Institutes school at which they entered the competition.

The Art Institutes Best Teen Chef Competition

The Art Institutes Best Teen Chef Competition is designed for high school seniors who love to cook and are interested in pursuing an education in culinary arts. Students compete for the chance to take part in a North American cook-off to demonstrate their culinary skills. The grand prize winner will receive a full-tuition scholarship to The Art Institutes school where they entered the competition, and earn the designation of "Best Teen Chef." More than $200,000 in tuition scholarships to Art Institutes schools are awarded every year.

The Art Institutes and Americans for the Arts Poster Design Scholarship Competition

The Art Institutes and Americans for the Arts Poster Design Scholarship Competition challenges high school seniors to create a poster design that best interprets the theme "Life is Better With Art In It." The grand prize winner will earn a tuition scholarship to The Art Institutes school where they entered the competition. More than $100,000 in tuition scholarships to The Art Institutes schools are awarded every year.

The Art Institutes Passion for Fashion Competition

The Art Institutes Passion for Fashion Competition challenges teens to create the best original design, fashion marketing, merchandising or retail management entry. Two grand prize winners each earn a full-tuition scholarship to The Art Institute location where they entered the competition, a trip to New York's Fashion Week and a "meet and greet" at Seventeen magazine. More than $100,000 in tuition scholarships to The Art Institutes schools are awarded every year.
