Designers Statement
Art and music have always been an important part of my life. They have helped me through hard times, made me feel better, and given me a sense of accomplishment. They are the two things I will love forever.
My poster portrays a woman holding a city in the palm of her hands that plugs into an mp3 player which also represents her heart. The city is a place full of life, love and happiness, and when plugged into her heart, it fills it, gives it a beat and plays her favorite song.
In my eyes, art is something everyone should enjoy, whether it's a painting in a gallery, your favorite band or a city skyline. Art is all around us and I hope it helps others like it helps me.
My dream is to one day make artwork for bands, fashion designers, skateboards and basically anything you can put art on. I also hope to put my art on clothing and accessories and to one day have my own studio and gallery for all to see. I feel the graphic design field will help me get there and strengthen this love and talent I have.
