The Art Institute of Tampa
Justin Timmons

In this specific piece of artwork I have incorporated an art student walking through the park and everywhere he walks life turns into a work of art. I used colored pencil for the boy and the background behind behind him and in the background in front of him I used pencil. Throughout the piece I splattered watercolor to add more of an excitement to the piece. I chose this idea because I wanted to show someone with a very creative aspect on life making a worl of beauty and imagination come to life just with his mind. In a way this piece kind of shows how I view my world and what I see in it.
The reason I wish to pursue my dream in animation is so that in the future I may become an animator for Walt Disney Studios. For my whole life I've always had an interest in art. When I was very young I would draw things that just came from my head. I even drew up characters for my own idea of a movie. I came up with the storyline, character names and bios, even in a whole word in which they live in. Then when I got into high school my teachers really pushed me to go further into the field of art. They put my artwork into county fairs and any other opportunities for me to get money and ahead in my dream. I am currently enrolled in my schools Advanced Placement Art program which has really helped me to understand what is ahead of me in life, but now I know for sure that this is what I really want to do for the rest of my life. We have to complete one art project a week and we have to do things that deal with our breath and concentration and other things to complete our portfolios. My concentration for my portfolio was titled, "Forces of Nature" where I would incorporate a human somehow interacted with the environment around them.
I have no real interest in any other field. I would really enjoy making a life out of my interest in art so that in the future I can make animated and live action movies and I can inspire a child with my movies like movies have inspired me.
