Designers Statement
My design is based on imagination. I think you can make life much easier by imagination. Without imagination there would be no creation. The world had to be created, right? That’s what this piece is saying. Life is better with art in it, life only lasts so long but the world has been here forever and so has art. Therefore, art brings color to the world.
Why I Wish To Enter the Graphic Design Field
Art has been a part of my life since I picked up my first pencil. Yeah, I am an artist but that only states that I have the ability to draw. There are many people in the world that have that ability. But that doesn’t mean anything if you don’t do something with it. I am an artist who recognizes his flaws. My work is not perfect but I would like it to be close to it.
I have always wanted to put my work on a computer. I believe graphic art would be best for me. Later on in life, drawing is going to be a hobby for me.
Poster boards, billboards, t-shirts, shoes, and other advertising items started on paper but then went to a computer. You can’t draw on a soda can and sell it. The design has to go through a computer then be printed on a can. You have to have these skills and go through the training to get them. But you have to have the imagination to come up with the ideas. I have the imagination; I just don’t have the proper skills or training.
I don’t want to do this to become rich and famous. I want to have a comfortable life, but mostly I want to be able to look up at that billboard or look at that t-shirt you have on, those shoes you are wearing, that soda you are drinking, or that building you are working in and say “you know, I helped make that”!
