Designers Statement
I truly believe that life is improved when art is introduced and in my poster, I try to express this by contrasting the unsaturated colors of the east and the bright, flamboyant colors to the west. The focal point of the poster is The Art Institutes logo in the upper left- hand corner, which I modeled in a 3D modeling program and traced over with a Photoshop brush. In the center of the piece there is a line of people leading to The Art Institute’s logo, symbolizing a better life. As the people get closer, they become more colorful and exciting.
The Art Institutes, for me, would be the same thing as the people in the poster. It would offer me a better life because it is hard to picture myself anywhere else than surrounded by other artists. When in environments such as The Art Institutes, students can feed off of others creativity and the quality of work is much better.
