Entering students will be required to complete the Assessment of Skills for Successful Entry and Transfer placement test (ASSET), or other college-level standardized tests, for purposes of ascertaining whether developmental courses are necessary to succeed in regular program courses of The Art Institute of Dallas. If college preparatory courses are necessary, students are required to register for those courses instead of designated courses in the regular curriculum. Special schedules will be required for the remainder of the regular schedule of courses required for graduation.

If students have not previously taken the ASSET test, it must be taken prior to or during orientation and the schedule planned accordingly at that time.
