The Web Design and Interactive Media bachelor’s degree teaches students how to create Web content, utilize user-friendly design, produce high-quality programs that are functional and interactive, and work with clients.
Students start by learning the basics: design, drawing, color theory, and computer-based classes, then move into digital imaging, typography, basic digital illustration, sound design, information architecture and scripting languages. They will solve interactive media design problems using current industry standards and processes. Expertise will be developed through study and the use of skill sets that include information architecture, graphical interface design and application of motion and sound, including video and interactive construction.
Faculty with solid academic credentials in design-related disciplines and experience in the interactive media industry, teach students enrolled in The Art Institute of Dallas Web design degree program Web animation, Web design, user-centered design, multimedia system design and exploration of information delivery to the many emerging handheld technology devices.
