The Art Institute of Dallas hosts audio industry discussion
DALLAS, December 14, 2012 – Ever wonder what it’s like recording, editing, mixing and mastering audio? Jason Fick, Ph. D. is just the person to clue you in. The Art Institute of Dallas, a campus of South University, presents “A Day in the Life” hosted by audio engineer and instructor Jason Fick on Thurs. Dec. 27 at 10 a.m.
Fick, an industry professional specializing in music technology, discusses audio engineering, working as a sound technician and producer, providing technical support, audio/video installation and sound design with lecture attendees. His presentation covers “a day in the life” of audio production professionals, with insights into job duties and industry opportunities.
With more than 10 years industry experience as a recording engineer, composer, sound designer and audio technology technical supporter, Fick’s comprehensive understanding of the field provides event attendees with a broad understanding of on-the-job duties. Having recently earned a Ph.D. in music composition with a specialization in computer music media from the University of North Texas, his personal experience and an overview of student life is also covered in the discussion.
