Policies/Rules
The Art Institute of Colorado and The Towers supports all its students, faculty and staff in lifelong learning — a process that is both challenging and rewarding — and encourages creativity and innovation as means to achieve this goal. Here are a few basic rules and policies:
- Prior to moving into The Towers, you will be required to provide either documentation verifying that you have received a vaccination against meningococcal meningitis or read and review information provided by the school about meningococcal meningitis, and sign a waiver (on move-in day) acknowledging that you have declined to receive the vaccination.
- Residents are expected to live by the general academic and social standards of The Art Institute of Colorado, as stated in the Student Handbook. Persons who violate these rules are subject to disciplinary action.
- Student housing, by nature, involves communal living. This situation demands common courtesy, and residents are expected to act in a manner that is respectful and with an awareness of the other individuals sharing the apartment and apartment complex. This level of courtesy involves keeping bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas clean, limiting guests, observing posted and requested quiet times, and avoiding comments and behavior roommates may find offensive.
- Occupants of a resident unit are responsible for all conduct in a unit, including the conduct of visitors and guests.
- The Towers is an alcohol- and drug-free environment. Possession of alcohol, drugs or drug paraphernalia in the apartments may be grounds for immediate eviction from The Towers and dismissal from The Art Institute of Colorado.
- The possession or use of firearms, ammunition, BB guns, air rifles, firecrackers, explosives, slingshots, knives or other weapons of any description for any purpose is prohibited.
